benreyes83 asked: I am traveling for about 1.5 months from Mexico, then to Australia and finally in Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with prolonged travel could tell me if I should use a cargo style large bag or if a Kelty/ North Face, large style backpack would do the trick. I won't be doing anything majorly strenuous but there will be camping involved and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thanks.

Back Pack is great all rounder.
Get a good one though. Like “Carribee”
Can you take both? If you are camping you will want the backpack. But the cargo bag is bigger and you will need the extra room for your things.
Having travelled twice around Europe with the same backpack, this is definitely the way to go (hands free, weight distributed on shoulders, waist). As you are only going for 1.5 months, you will have more than enough room for all your stuff. Pack it then take half your clothes out – you will not need them!
Ask this on (the board is down at the moment, the site is rather temperamental…keep checking it though.)
It’s full of people who are planning to go travelling, as well as people who have already gone. Seriously great site with great advice.
Also, why only for 1.5 months? You’d barely touch the surface… can you not spend longer ? And work?
